Day 10
Well off we go to Northam, first stop we go to was Freemantle. We had a bit of a hiccup with the support vehicle could'nt find a park. Some of us just went into the shopping centre and had a coffee and lunch, Hitower and Mary headed off to the Airport. Some of us had Crayfish for lunch mmmmm!!!, it was a very warm day, we ended up at Northam around 5.30p.m. all except for one (Craig) stayed at the Shamrock. The support trailer lost its brakes today, might I say at this stage Enza is doing a fantastic job driving the car with the trailer.
A few of us had spa rooms but we were all too tired to even have one (a spa) . Oh well off to Kalgoorlie tomorrow.

Day 6 ---- Yeh we are just about there Off to Margaret River
Well we started out again WA time everyone was up before 6.00a.m. so some headed for Mackas some had brekkie in their rooms, some just kept sleeping. We all knew it was going to be an easy day, BUT it wasn't.
Tony and I had to go to the dealer in Albany 8.00a.m. to get a new tyre for Tony's Bike. Robert also had to get a new battery fitted. Around about 9.45a.m. we were off and running to Margaret River. There was a couple of groups riding on, we met up with one group at the Tall Trees at Valley of the Giants near Walpole.
Well what an experience the tallest trees ever -- The Tingle Trees they have a 600 metre walk of steel trusses. Quite an experience. If the photos are not on here tonight I will get them on in the next couple of days. From there we headed to Walpole to fuel up and lunch stop. Might I say the rain has not stopped from The Valley of the Giants to Walpole. From Walpole we headed off to Margaret River, through Pemberton, Nannop, Witchicliffe then finally reaching Margaret River around 6.00p.m. We were out on the main road for a while as we could'nt find the Riverview Tourist Park. We eventually found it, when the support vehicle came along and punched in the NavMan. The Whole time from Valley of the Giants we were rained on, rained on, rained on, and rained on some more. Well we were saturated through. After sorting out the accomodation we headed off for Zanadu Winery, where the first nights Rally was taking place. Announcement was made that the 2012 Rally would be held in Canberra. And a Big Happy Birthday to my gorgeous daughter Bree. XXX

Day 5 Off to Albany
Well we all seem to wake up on Western Australian Time at 4.30a.m. and we wait for Brekkie. The days events are off to Ravenswood, bit windy, great riding after the straight roads of yesterday. Well what happens when you don't do what you preach. You run OUT OF PETROL Guess Who has been telling us for the last 6 months----We must fuel up the night before, head off with a new tank----Hi.......... Ran Out Of Petrol.
We ended up at Ravenswood, lovely riding, bit dusty, but great roads. From Ravenswood we set off for Jerramungup for more fuel. Day 5 saw Jo and Cherie join us, they flew into Esperance late last night. We got to the dealer and dropped off Bambi's Bike and some new tyres for some of our guys. Booked into the Motel
where Tony discovered he needed a new back tyre, alas back to the dealer. Well everyone has done really well, we have done roughly 3300 thats a lot of miles. We head off to Margaret River in the morning for another 500 ks.

Day 4
From Madura (Wolf's Creek) to Esperance
What a magnificent ride this was ---- 90 Miles of Straight Road Riding,
the longest straightest piece of road in Australia and we have rode on it. We woke up to roughly 4.30a.m. as we all thought it was around 6.00 - 6.30a.m. we all forgot we had gained a couple of hours on the crossing from South Australia to Western Australia. After another big stretch on the Nullabor and running into more Harleys every petrol stop along the way. We finally made it to Norseman where we had lunch at a nice Cafe. We headed off to Esperance, where our expectations were not disappointed.

Day 3
Hi Tower makes sure
that everyone has a full tank of petrol
the night before, so we take off around 7.00 – 7.15a.m. as we did this
morning heading off to Madura. This was
always going to be a bit of a test for all the riders and pillons. Well they didn’t disappoint us, very big big
day. What a glorious day for riding, we
headed to Ceduna to fuel up for the next take. On the way to Yilata we took a break to visit with Luke Skywalker who was raising funds for the Starlight Foundation. We had our photos taken with him, donations made into the tin and then off again. Well Yilata never took place because there was no Petrol any where. Well the fund began most of us headed to the Nullabor pushing on Reserve and watching for the support vehicle to back us up when we run out, luckily only one person ran out twice!!!!! We stopped at the first petrol stop on the Nullabor where we all fueled up our tanks and our bellies and took off again for Border Village.
From Border Village when then headed to Madura (Wolf's Creek in disguise!!!) We are not kidding you
you should have seen this place, the manager from hell, the rooms from hell, and the mice from hell.
Lucky they had a clean swimming pool where the guys could cool off (because I can tell you tempers were pretty hot!!!!!!)
| keeping up our glucose tolerance |
Day 2
We started the trip with 35 people, then Bill
and Karren headed home today. We also had on board some special guest, such as Mannie, Henry the Hog and Winnie, hope they all enjoy themselves.
We woke up to the ducks coming
up to the back door of our Motel Rooms. Then we were roll called by our Time Keeper (Hi Tower) we had our group photo and then we headed
Off to Streaky Bay – minus one bike in the trailer
poor Bambi’s bike wasn’t well. Harley City will send the part to Esperance
and the dealer there will fix it hopefully.
Okay we had a bit more drama with George’s Bike having a flat
battery. The support vehicle and rear
road captain John kept pushing and pushing but they could’nt get the bike going (this was turning out to be a scene out of Wild Hogs) so being a Sunday it was a bit difficult to get a battery, but Enza to the
rescue with her I Phone -- a new battery was found and put in and George was off and
running.
Never mind the mechanical business the group headed off to Snowtown (famous for bodies in the barrel) for some
brekkie. Well horror happened NO Snowtown shops are open up until Monday.
So off we go to Red Hill where we had breakfast, drinks and then off
again to Kimba, where we had a group photo taken. After lunch we headed
off for Streaky Bay, but before we got there one more petrol stop at Border
Village, and a cool drink then on to Streaky Bay. What a beautiful spot. We got the courtesy
bus into town for tea and a early night because it was going to be a big day
tomorrow to Madura.

DAY 1
We started at Harley City at 8.00a.m. on the dot!!!! We started with 20 so bikes and the magnificent support vehicle and tough and rough looking trailer, then we picked up a few bikes on the way from Caroline Springs.
Off we go to Ararat where our first fuel stop began. We had one of our members (no name) try and become a 1% member. (Rebels bike club) Didn't go down too well!!!! Having survived that we went onto our lunch stop at Nhill. We tried to squeeze every minute out of the break, but alas it was back on the bikes and off to
Keith for a fuel stop. Then it seemed like forever and ever until we reached Hahndorf at 6.00p.m. (WOW)
Big Ride Great Day Beautiful Weather Lovely People and we are off to bed to do it all again tomorrow.
You don't get to know about the party on tonight, we will fill you in when we get back.
