Day 2
We started the trip with 35 people, then Bill
and Karren headed home today. We also had on board some special guest, such as Mannie, Henry the Hog and Winnie, hope they all enjoy themselves.
We woke up to the ducks coming
up to the back door of our Motel Rooms. Then we were roll called by our Time Keeper (Hi Tower) we had our group photo and then we headed
Off to Streaky Bay – minus one bike in the trailer
poor Bambi’s bike wasn’t well. Harley City will send the part to Esperance
and the dealer there will fix it hopefully.
Okay we had a bit more drama with George’s Bike having a flat
battery. The support vehicle and rear
road captain John kept pushing and pushing but they could’nt get the bike going (this was turning out to be a scene out of Wild Hogs) so being a Sunday it was a bit difficult to get a battery, but Enza to the
rescue with her I Phone -- a new battery was found and put in and George was off and
running.
Never mind the mechanical business the group headed off to Snowtown (famous for bodies in the barrel) for some
brekkie. Well horror happened NO Snowtown shops are open up until Monday.
So off we go to Red Hill where we had breakfast, drinks and then off
again to Kimba, where we had a group photo taken. After lunch we headed
off for Streaky Bay, but before we got there one more petrol stop at Border
Village, and a cool drink then on to Streaky Bay. What a beautiful spot. We got the courtesy
bus into town for tea and a early night because it was going to be a big day
tomorrow to Madura.
